Notice to KEA Membership regarding Feeder 4 Emergency Planned Outage
Planned Emergency Outage: August 11, 2026
Time: 8:00 – 10:00pm
Reason for Outage: Temporary repair of underground fault related to water damage affecting members near and past the airport.
Feeder 4 will require a full outage. KEA Line & Plant crew were able to locate some usable material to attempt a temporary bypass repair. A long-term solution is planned and we will keep the membership updated.
Memberships impacted include:
1. Mar Tower 2. City Cell 2 Pump 3. National Weather Service
4. GCI Earth Station & Tower 5. FAA 6. State DOT OTZ Cell Site
7. KOTZ Radio Tower 8. Local Airlines. 9. Residential members
We understand this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to restore electrical service on Feeder 4. Please take necessary precautions, such as:
• Unplugging sensitive electronics
• Ensure backup power for essential medical equipment
• Planning for refrigeration needs if necessary.
