On Thursday 07/27/23 KEA had a prolonged power outage in town. This was due to an unintended introduction of contaminated fuel into our diesel generation system. KEA staff worked through the night and power was restored early on Friday 07/28/23. The situation has been stabilized and we do not anticipate any further power distribution problems due to this issue.
We apologize to our members for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we will make every effort possible to make sure this does not happen again.
